The Street Light Division is responsible for operating and
maintaining over 3,600 street lights within the City. The division operates and
maintains the Upper Androscoggin Hydro-electric Generating Station and maintains
2 water lift stations and 8.3 million gallons of emergency water storage in two
concrete tanks. The City pumps an average of 5,000,000 gallons of water
daily. Excess power generated is sold for revenue.
