The Building Maintenance Division is
responsible for the custodial and maintenance service for eight (8) City of
Lewiston facilities, as well as the City's parking meters. A staff of eight
(8) people and one (1) contractor provide these services.
Maintenance personnel consist of one (1)
Superintendent, two (2) Building Maintenance Workers, one (1) Carpenter and
one (1) Meter Maintenance Worker. Responsibilities include: maintaining and
servicing of heat and air systems, sprinkler and fire alarms, painting,
plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, snow removal, landscaping, system
inspections, floor system installation, interior/exterior structural
maintenance, window washing, collection of monies and maintenance of all
parking meters.
Custodial personnel consist of three (3)
custodians and one (1) cleaning service contractor. Responsibilities include:
vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, trash and recyclables, and bathroom
care of all assigned areas, as well as carpet extraction and strip and wax of
all floor systems.
