On May 16, 2012, the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) held a Recycling Rulz! educational event for children in Kennedy Park.  LYAC distributed recycling info to parents/adults and led recycling-focused games with the children to include a Recycling Relay and a Recycling Show & Tell.  Face painting included pictures of the recycling symbol, trees, and a trash dispenser.  Children also had an opportunity to sign a pledge form committing to tell their families about recycling.  Attending children also received a "Recycling Rulz!" t-shirt compliments of LYAC.
