
The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) was established by the Lewiston City Council in 2001, with the Charter membership first meeting in September 2002.
Since then, members have worked closely with municipal staff, officials, and members of the community on various initiatives that have been very positive for the All-America City (AAC) of Lewiston--to include assisting the City in becoming an AAC municipality - the first Maine community in 40 years.
On July 19, 2011, the 2011-2012 membership was recognized during the evening's City Council meeting. Those serving are:

The Downstage at LA Arts, 5 Canal Street Alley, Lewiston
"Cool Happenings on Lisbon Street," an "on-the-street" video filmed by the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council, will debut on February 11th at 2:30 p.m. at The Downstage at LA Arts, #5 Canal Street Alley, Lewiston. LYAC members wanted to highlight the ongoing rejuvenation of Lisbon Street as an image booster for the area. Lisbon Street "then & now" pics will be on display, LYAC members will share what they experienced while filming on Lisbon Street, and light refreshments will be on hand. LYAC Members Attend January 3, 2012, Inauguration
Kenzi Masselli, LYAC Chair, sang the National Anthem at the 1/3/12 City of Lewiston Inaugural at the Franco-American Heritage Center. LYAC members Marissa Zanoni and Marcus Talarico also attended.
