Housing & Loan Grants
Providing Assistance to Area Homeowners
All programs and services funded through the Economic and Community Development Department benefit households that are at or below 80% of the
median family income (MFI) on some level. Often households directly benefit through rehabilitation of housing or social services; however, the whole community benefits by receiving funding that benefits a targeted area. Our
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) targeted area includes downtown
census tracts 201-204.
Available Programs
The City of Lewiston's housing programs are supported by funding from CDBGs, the Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control (also known as the Lewiston-Auburn Lead Program), and the Lewiston-Auburn HOME Consortium. These programs are used for rehabilitation of single-family, one-to-four-bedroom units of owner-occupied housing and for home buyer assistance.
