The City Administrator directs
and supervises the administration of all departments, offices and agencies of
the city. |

The Administrator appoints competent, qualified officials and
employees to oversee the operation of city government.
The Administrator has the authority to suspend or remove any city
employee or appointed administrative officer as provided under the City Charter.
The
Administrator prepares and submits such other reports and performs such other
duties as the City Council may require concerning the affairs of the City of
Lewiston.

The Deputy Administrator and Assistant
to the City Administrator provide direct support for all
City Administrator functions and additionally;
-
Serve as the City representative on the Lewiston-Auburn Comprehensive
Traffic Study (LACTS)
-
Serve as the City representative on the Androscoggin Valley Council of
Governments (AVCOG) Executive Committee
-
Serve as the City representative on the Maine Municipal Association (MMA)
Legislative Policy Committee
-
Serves on the 9-1-1 Committee
-
Supervises the Council-Constituent Concern service tracking system.

| Community Relations
Coordinator "Serves at the general direction
of the City Administrator with principal functions in the area of community
relations.
Also serves as general liaison between the City Administrator, Mayor, and City
Council. Duties include:
-
Coordinates and/or undertakes various projects/initiatives that
are facilitated through the City Administrator's Office and for the
Mayor & City Council.
-
Prepares
and distributes multi-departmental municipal press releases, as
well as interacts with the media.
-
Composes
and/or edits various types of correspondence, reports, and municipal
addresses.
-
Engages
with
members of the public, other municipalities, members of the business
community, non-profits, legislators, United States Congressional
offices, municipal staff, and the media within the realm of community
relations and public outreach.
-
Serves as
primary municipal contact for general public inquiries submitted
via Lewiston’s web site, phone, e-mail, and correspondence; follows up
as necessary.
-
Multi-departmental resource for press conferences, community dialogues, community
informational meetings, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, etc.
-
Co-Chair
of the Lewiston-Auburn Tax Credit Awareness CA$H Coalition,
advocating both the Earned Income Tax Credit for low-to-moderate income
workers and financial education/literacy opportunities.
-
Serves as
an Advisor for the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council.
-
Co-Chairs
the Twin Cities Downtown Holiday Celebration.
-
Represents
the City of Lewiston on committees as necessary.
