Absentee Ballots for November 7th State/Municipal Election Now Available


Absentee ballots for the November 7th state and municipal election are currently available for Lewiston residents who would like to vote early; the statewide deadline to request an absentee ballot for this election is November 2nd. Registered voters needing an absentee ballot may call the City Clerk’s Office, may mail in an application form which can be downloaded from the City’s website, or can come into Lewiston City Hall, 27 Pine Street. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Voters may also order an absentee ballot online through the City’s website.

The following candidate races will be appearing on the Lewiston ballots: Mayor, School Committee At Large, City Councilor for each ward and School Committee member for each ward. Also appearing on the Lewiston ballot is the referendum question to legally consolidate the Cities of Lewiston and Auburn. The State Referendum ballot contains questions regarding a casino in York County, Access to Health Care, a bond issue for transportation improvements, and a Constitutional amendment regarding state pension funding.
