Christmas Eve Jingle in Lewiston!
At the near close of a challenging year, we can all be together on Christmas Eve via the CHRISTMAS EVE JINGLE, and Lewiston Mayor Mark Cayer is helping to spread the word!
The idea was born in Harrogate, UK, and has quickly gone global. On Christmas Eve, December 24th, folks are encouraged to step outside their home—or participate from wherever they are—at 6 p.m. (their time) and ring a bell for two minutes.
Idea originator Mary Beggs-Reid who refers to the idea as a bell-ringing wave across the world, notes, "Ring a bell for two minutes to spread Christmas spirit and to help Santa fly that sleigh."
What a fun memory for all of us who choose to participate – great way to unite together yet be safe & socially distanced!
